Sanford Road Park is 139 acres of fun just waiting to be explored. One of the highlights of this park is the radio-controlled model airplane flying field. The public has an open invitation to either watch the action or fly your own radio-controlled plane. If the weather is nice, there is a good chance of finding someone slicing the sky with aeronautical precision.

The large size of the Sanford Road Park makes this an ideal place to lay back and watch the small aircraft fly. It is hard not to get caught up in the excitement of seeing miniture planes take on the skies.

Flying Club Members provide plane engine noise level checks with DB meters. Club members closely enforce the rules to ensure that the planes engines are within set rules.

Not only does Sanford Road Park boast a radio-controlled model airplane flying field, but other park facilities include a Horse Show Arena, Jogging Trail and a Pheasant Habitat/Sanctuary. What an ideal way to spend an afternoon.
